Meetings schedule for 2012Due to clashes with commercial events in the evening at Melbourne Museum, the first meetings for 2012, in March and April, are likely to be lunchtime seminars - confirmation will be posted here in February 2012. Thereafter meetings will likely revert to the normal schedule: 6 pm on the first Thursday of each month. The venue unless advised otherwise is: Discovery Centre, Lower Ground, Melbourne Museum, Carlton Gardens. Note that Museum Victoria closes at 5 pm, but security staff will be available until about 6:00 pm to admit participants in the Melbourne Systematics Forum and direct them to The Discovery Centre on the lower ground floor. For admittance at other times, there is an intercom on the left of the door - press the button to speak with security staff. |

| previous meetings | The Melbourne Systematics Forum provides an opportunity for students, academics and others with an interest in systematic biology and related topics to discuss their research results and current ideas in an informal environment. Unless advised otherwise, meetings take place in The Discovery Centre, (previously called InfoZone) lower ground floor, Melbourne Museum, Carlton Gardens, at 6 pm on the first Thursday of the month. Sessions commence with an introduction from the convenor, followed by an informal talk for about 20 minutes. Participants are encouraged to intervene and generate discussion. Meetings generally conclude after about 90 minutes, and everyone who attends a session is encouraged to actively participate. | ||
