Future titlesThe following Museum Victoria marine guides are available now, or will be published during 2008-2009:Introducing marine life - Available now Crabs, hermit crabs and allies - Available now Barnacles - available September 2008 Shrimps, prawns and lobsters - available September 2008 Nudibranchs and relatives - scheduled for publication March 2009 Sponges - scheduled for publication March 2009 Other kinds of marine invertebrates will be covered in future guides. Titles that we are working towards are: Lace corals [Bryozoans] Hydroids [Hydrozoa] Sea stars and relatives [Echinoderms] Cockles, clams and mussels [Bivalves] Jellyfish and other gelatinous zooplankton Marine worms Sea spiders [Pycnogonids] Seaweeds and seagrasses Octopus, squid and cuttlefish [Cephalopods] Marine snails and other molluscs Little crustaceans [amphipods, isopods and others] Sea squirts [Ascidians] Lamp-shells [Brachiopods] We are seeking the best possible images for common species in each guide. Photographers with suitable images are encouraged to become involved by contacting Reefwatch Victoria, a community group of enthusiastic marine naturalists with close links to Museum Victoria. |
