Molluscan Research

Volume 15: 31 October 1994

The Chinese viviparid snail Bellamya heudei guangdungensis (Kobelt, 1906) in Australia (Prosobranchia: Viviparidae).

The Chinese viviparid snail Bellamya heudei guangdungensis (Kobelt, 1906) is recorded from Australia for the first time. Its identity is clarified to avoid confusion with a similar Asian species Angulyagra polyzonata (Frauenfeld, 1862). Illustrations and notes on both species are presented.
