Paralacydoniidae
The Paralacydoniidae are known only from soft sediments in depths from 25-3000 m but are not often encountered in benthic samples. Nothing is known of the biology or ecology of this family. The family contains a single genus, Paralacydonia and 2 species: P. paradoxa (described from the Mediterranean but now recorded from widespread localities) and P. weberi (from Indonesia).
