Paraonidae
Paraonids are deposit feeders and are common, especially in soft sediments, and can be found from the intertidal to the deep sea.
The interactive key documents the southeastern Australian paraonid fauna, based on material from subtidal sediments in inshore bays
(Port Phillip, Western Port, and Jervis Bays) and the continental shelf of
eastern Bass Strait. Also included are a number of species collected from
intertidal mud flats in Port Hedland, northwestern Western Australia.
