Typhloscolecidae
Typhloscolecids are planktonic throughout the world from tropical to polar latitudes and from surface waters to depths exceeding 4000 m. They are apparently predators whose prey includes chaetognaths, but the biology of typhloscolecids is not well known. Globally the Typhloscolecidae comprises 3 genera and 13 species; 2 genera and 2 species are known from Australian waters, with another 2 species being reported from Antarctic waters.
